NOW HIRING – UNDERGROUND UTILITY CONSTRUCTION
Schilling Paradise Corp. is seeking qualified and motivated individuals to join our underground utility construction team. We are currently hiring for the following positions in our Wet and Dry Division:
• Foremen (Minimum 5 year’s experience in this position)
• Excavator & Backhoe Operators
• Grade Checkers
• Box Builders- (Wet Division)
• Laborers
We perform water, sewer, storm drain, and dry utility construction on both public works and private-sector projects throughout San Diego.
Pay Range
$25.00 – $65.00 per hour, depending on position, experience, qualifications, certifications, and project assignment. Prevailing wage rates apply where required.
Responsibilities
• Perform underground utility construction work safely and efficiently
• Read and interpret plans, grades, and project specifications (position dependent)
• Operate heavy equipment (Operators)
• Supervise crews and coordinate field operations (Foremen)
• Install CIP Structure boxes (Box Builders)
• Assist with excavation, pipe installation, grading, and site preparation (Laborers)
• Maintain compliance with company safety policies and project requirements
Qualifications
• Relevant construction or underground utility experience preferred
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Certifications and licenses applicable to the position are a plus
