Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Miami, FL, for a Junior Interior Designer. The Junior Interior Designer will support the design team in the development, coordination, and execution of interior design projects, with a focus on residential single-family homes. This role requires someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a design-build environment. Responsibilities include assisting with space planning, preparing and revising construction drawings, sourcing FF&E, organizing material selections, creating design presentations, and coordinating with architects, construction teams, vendors, and consultants as needed. The candidate will work closely with senior designers and the Creative Director to help ensure that design intent, project documentation, material selections, and overall presentation align with the firm’s standards. The Junior Interior Designer will also assist with site visits, field measurements, punch lists, and project follow-up to support the successful completion of each project.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Space Planning and Interior Design
- Experience or knowledge in Residential Single-Family or Condominium design
- Foundational understanding of Architecture and Construction Drawings
- Ability to assist with plans, elevations, details, and drawing revisions
- Experience sourcing and specifying FF&E, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and materials
- Vendor coordination and material/sample organization experience
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficiency in design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and rendering tools
- Revit experience is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for team, vendor, and client interactions
- Understanding of building codes and regulations is a plus
- Prior internship or junior-level interior design experience is preferred
