Job Description
BuddyPeople Productions is now casting principal and background actors for the upcoming dark comedy feature film I Do Not Wish to Perform. Filming will take place in the Pittsburgh area for a story exploring themes of grief, work, and depression.
The production is seeking both SAG-AFTRA and non-union talent for a variety of speaking and background roles. This project is ideal for actors interested in emotionally grounded performances within an independent feature film environment.
Job Responsibilities
Perform scripted scenes for a feature film production
Attend scheduled filming days and rehearsals if required
Collaborate with directors and cast members on set
Deliver authentic and emotionally driven performances
Follow production schedules and on-set direction
Requirements
Casting the following roles:
Performer — Caucasian male, ages 30–40
Sasha (The Roommate) — Female, ages 25–35
Coworker 1 — Female, ages 30+, preferably 40–50
Coworker 2 — Any gender/race, ages 20s–30s
Coworker 4 — Any gender/race, ages 20s–30s
Church Goer — Any age, gender, or race
Boss — Male, any race, ages 35+
Better Off Friend 1 — Male, any race, ages 25–40
Better Off Friend 2 — Male, any race, ages 25–40
Additional casting:
Adult background actors to portray theater patrons and office workers
Submission Requirements:
Recent photo/headshot

Indicate SAG-AFTRA union status if applicable
Additional Requirements:
Must have reliable transportation to filming locations
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Compensation Details
Day rates negotiable
Lunch provided on shoot days
