This role is responsible for managing IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, hardware, software, networks, and end-user support to ensure reliable and secure technology operations across clinical, business, and administrative functions.

The IT Administrator oversees and maintains organizational technology systems including hardware, software, networking, cybersecurity, telecommunications, and technical support services. This role provides troubleshooting assistance, manages vendor relationships, supports system security and compliance, and recommends technology solutions that improve operational efficiency. Requirements
- Maintain and support organizational hardware, software, servers, networks, internet connectivity, surveillance systems, and telecommunications equipment.
- Install, configure, update, and maintain computers, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues to minimize operational disruptions.
- Coordinate software updates, system upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance.
- Maintain accurate inventory of hardware, software licenses, and technology assets.
- Provide timely technical assistance and troubleshooting for hardware, software, connectivity, and system access issues.
- Respond to employee support requests in a professional and customer-focused manner.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, passwords, and access controls.
- Train employees on software applications, cybersecurity awareness, and technology best practices.
- Document IT issues, resolutions, and recurring technical trends.
- Maintain system security protocols to safeguard organizational and patient information.
- Support compliance with privacy and security requirements, including HIPAA and cybersecurity standards.
- Monitor for vulnerabilities, malware, phishing attempts, and unauthorized access risks.
- Coordinate data backup and disaster recovery processes.
- Maintain secure access permissions according to organizational policy.
- Serve as liaison with third-party IT vendors, software providers, internet service providers, and equipment vendors.
- Coordinate technology purchases, installations, warranties, and service agreements.
- Assist with evaluating and implementing new technologies and system enhancements.
- Support electronic medical record (EMR/EHR), practice management, scheduling, imaging, and billing systems as applicable.
- Troubleshoot integration and connectivity issues between systems.
- Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Provide reports regarding system performance, risks, upgrades, and technology recommendations.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or network administration.
- Experience with cybersecurity practices and vendor management required.
- Healthcare IT experience supporting EMR/EHR systems preferred.
- Must successfully pass a background check and any pre-employment requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, networking, operating systems, cloud-based applications, and cybersecurity principles.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows operating systems, networking equipment, and remote support tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple technical issues simultaneously.
- Understanding of HIPAA compliance and healthcare technology security practices preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
