The Opportunity
We’re hiring an International Supply Chain Manager to manage our global inbound logistics operation. This is a direct-hire, full-time position based 100% on site at our Vernon, CA headquarters. The role is being backfilled urgently due to a transition, and we’re looking for someone who brings a sharp eye for detail, a proactive mindset, and a professional, articulate presence to serve as a front-facing liaison with overseas mills, freight forwarders, and 3PL warehouse partners.
This is a vital role with exposure to senior leadership, reporting directly to the CEO, and direct impact on Liberty Paper’s operational success. You’ll also serve as support staff on key accounts, helping ensure seamless inventory flow into eight U.S. warehouses.
Key Responsibilities:
Global Supply Coordination
- Issue and manage purchase orders with overseas paper mills
- Confirm production timelines and ensure timely release of goods
- Liaise with international suppliers across Asia, Europe, and South America
Imports & Compliance
- Coordinate customs and import documentation (ISF, PierPass, etc.)
- Communicate with brokers and ensure regulatory compliance
- Track and manage shipments from port to warehouse
Logistics Execution & Inventory
- Work closely with freight forwarders, drayage providers, and 3PL warehouses
- Provide internal teams with real-time shipment status and inventory updates
Client & Internal Support
- Serve as support staff for sales and executive teams, including high-value clients
- Participate in vendor meetings; no travel required
Background & Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in international logistics, ocean imports and supply chain coordination
- Extremely detail-oriented with strong organizational skills — accuracy is mission-critical
- Professional communicator with excellent English (Spanish a plus)
- Comfortable juggling priorities, coordinating across time zones, and solving problems independently
- Prior experience with customs brokers, drayage, freight forwarders, and 3PLs is preferred
- Advanced Excel proficiency
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $90,000+ DOE (with flexibility for top-tier candidates)
