This Director of HR will bridge executive strategy and field operations, utilizing strong business acumen, OKRs, and KPIs. This is a highly mobile, mid-to-senior level position requiring frequent travel to oversee dispersed corporate sites.
Role Overview
As the Director of HR - you will act as a strategic business partner, spearheading the scaling of the HR department to support rapid, billion-dollar business operations. You will translate C-suite objectives into actionable, data-driven people strategies that enhance talent acquisition, leadership development, and organizational design.
- Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Growth & OKRs: Partner with executive leadership to design, track, and execute departmental and company-wide OKRs. Build scalable HR infrastructure capable of supporting hyper-growth.
- KPI Management: Establish, monitor, and report on critical HR KPIs (e.g., time-to-hire, turnover rate, employee net promoter score, and training ROI) to justify people initiatives and optimize performance.
- Business Acumen: Apply deep financial and operational understanding to ensure HR initiatives directly drive profitability, reduce risk, and support the overarching corporate business model.
- Global / Multi-Site Oversight: Lead HR strategies across various locations. Conduct frequent domestic and/or international travel (40% - 60%) to align regional offices, assess workplace culture, and meet with local management teams.
- Leadership & Team Building: Recruit, mentor, and expand a high-performing internal HR team (including HR Generalists, Talent Acquisition, and Employee Relations staff).
- Talent & Performance Management: Design and implement robust performance appraisal systems, career progression frameworks, and succession plans.
- Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Organizational Psychology; Master’s Degree or MBA highly preferred.
- Experience: 7–10 years of progressive HR management experience, including 3+ years in a Senior HR Business Partner role, preferably within a large-scale or high-growth matrixed organization.
- Data-Driven Mindset: Proven track record of developing and measuring OKRs and KPIs. Strong financial literacy and analytical skills.
- Mobility: Willingness and ability to travel extensively to various company locations.
- Compliance & Ethics: Comprehensive knowledge of multi-state/international employment laws, compliance, and risk management.
- Certifications: SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification is highly preferred.
