As a business committed to the spirit and creativity of 3rd wave coffee we are looking for someone to support us in the production of our in house flavors, syrups, powders, nitro systems and energy drinks, as well as supporting with whole bean coffee rotations, blending, packaging and general support for our roasting program.
This is a Part-Time position with very flexible hours that can remain so or grow into more for the right person.
You: A talented individual with some culinary or baking background or a strong attention to detail who can follow recipes carefully, handle multi-step instructions, and be a good decision maker. We will Teach!!! Must be competent with basic math to be able to compute recipe scale ups (very straightforward). Must be able to be strategic with their time management, and be able to assess inventory levels and usage to prioritize what to do when. Must be able to lift 40+ pounds (large buckets of flavor).
Our store is fast paced, requires high speed multitasking, decision making, great communication and working well with others as a tight knit team. Its a job for people that love to work collaboratively to ensure customers are highly satisfied and teammates are supported. Its high energy, fun, challenging and satisfying.
Gladly Coffee and Kitchen is an emerging craft concept in the San Diego Market. Built by former baristas who get it, at its core is a desire to deliver great high quality boutique products in the cup and on the plate to our community alongside genuine, real customer care. We are a coffeebar and kitchen with cafe and Drive Thru. We are a community meeting place. We have a burgeoning art and music scene.
You: smart, fast, food/coffee experience a plus but not required, genuine, taking care of people gets you up in the morning, looking for something for a couple of years or career. A great smile. We have a great team and are looking for someone to come make us better!
