Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Director of Leasing role based in TX. The Director of Leasing will lead and develop the leasing team, collaborate on occupancy and revenue goals, and create leasing strategies that support portfolio performance. Daily responsibilities include overseeing leasing activity across the portfolio, monitoring traffic and conversion metrics, and ensuring consistent implementation of pricing, concessions, and marketing initiatives. The role will manage major lease negotiations, support property teams with complex lease questions, and ensure accurate documentation and compliance with company policies and legal requirements. The Director of Leasing will collaborate closely with operations and marketing to forecast demand, refine marketing campaigns, and drive resident retention programs. This position will also provide regular reporting, analyze market trends and competitors, and recommend data-driven adjustments to leasing and renewal strategies. You will also be responsible for all Leasing training.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Multifamily Leasing and Leases, with a track record of driving occupancy and revenue in a multifamily or related real estate environment.
- Demonstrated experience in Lease Negotiations, including structuring terms, managing renewals, and resolving complex leasing issues.
- Proficiency in Lease Administration, including documentation accuracy, compliance, and coordination with legal and accounting teams.
- Background in Property Management, with an understanding of operations, resident relations, and market positioning.
- Leadership skills, including the ability to mentor and develop leasing teams, set clear performance expectations, and foster accountability.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience using property management systems and reporting tools to interpret leasing and market data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with residents, team members, vendors, and ownership.
- Knowledge of fair housing laws, local regulations, and industry best practices.
- Experience in a growth or expansion-focused real estate organization is a plus.
