About the position
The Department of Film, Television, and Interactive Media at Brandeis University seeks an instructor for FILM 110B, Motion Picture Editing, a 4 credit course to be offered in the fall semester of 2026. The course focuses on the editor’s role in cinematic storytelling. It provides both an overview of the history and theory of editing and practical training in editing digital video with Adobe Premiere Pro. The class meets on Mondays, 2:30-5:20. Enrollment is limited; the course draws primarily from Film majors.
Responsibilities
- Teach FILM 110B, Motion Picture Editing, a 4 credit course.
- Provide an overview of the history and theory of editing.

Requirements
- Advanced degree in an appropriate field.
- Relevant professional and/or teaching experience.
