Your role and responsibilities:
As the Named Account Manager - NextEra / FPL, you will develop, implement and manage the account(s) strategy focused on growth, profitability and customer satisfaction. Coordinate the sales activities and manage resolution of specific customer problems.
While this is a remote position, successful candidates will be located in South Florida, USA.
This role is contributing to the Electrification Division in the United States.
Main Accountabilities:
- Strategic account leadership — Shape sales strategy and account plans by aligning customer business goals with NextEra/FPL objectives, prioritizing opportunities, and developing executive relationship strategies.
- Sales growth & performance management — Set and drive achievement of sales targets, manage volume/mix/profitability, and implement recovery plans when needed.
- Customer relationship & issue resolution — Serve as the primary customer contact, lead negotiations, resolve claims, and collaborate with Inside Sales and District Sales to enhance satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Market and customer intelligence — Maintain deep knowledge of customer drivers, competitive activity, and market trends to inform strategy, create value, and coordinate internal resources for tailored solutions.
Qualifications for the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Engineering, Project Management, Sales, and/or Marketing.
- Sales/Business Development experience working with clients in the utilities and/or energy markets
- Successful candidates must understand customer and company’s organizational structure, as well as strong business acumen / sense to determine when escalation is required.
- Anticipates roadblocks and alerts internal & external stakeholders appropriately.
- Fosters teamwork that drives collaboration and teamwork.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% (domestic travel)
- Strong customer relationship skills; Exceptional analytical skills and leadership abilities.
