Title: Service Desk Analyst (entry level)

A direct client is seeking an Entry-Level Service Desk Analyst to support daily IT operations and provide technical assistance across the organization. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in IT support, systems administration, and infrastructure technologies. The Service Desk Analyst will troubleshoot technical issues, assist with system maintenance, and help ensure reliable technology services for end users.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network-related issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in a timely manner
- Support Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and networking environments
- Escalate complex issues when necessary and assist with follow-through to resolution
- Communicate technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical users
- Maintain accurate documentation for incidents, procedures, and system changes
- Collaborate with IT team members to identify and resolve recurring issues
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and recommend process enhancements
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, Linux, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and networking concepts
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Eagerness to learn and grow within an IT support environment
Technical Skills:
- Windows OS and Microsoft 365
- Familiar with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPN, Wi-Fi)
- Knowledge of ticketing platforms (ServiceNow) a plus
Preferred Certifications:
- CompTIA A+
- CompTIA Network+
- Microsoft certifications
- Equivalent hands-on or internship experience will also be considered
Education:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience
