Description
About ProEdge Dental Water Labs:
ProEdge Dental Water Labs is a team of selfless builders. By putting our focus on the success of customers, we've created a healthy, quickly-growing, and dynamic company. Our ~60 team members have taken on a significant challenge: transform compliance in the dental practice – often a distinct pain for our customers – into a culture of shared purpose for the safety of patients and staff. By keeping our promises and developing value-based solutions, we've created an emerging brand in dental.
Because of that, at ProEdge “good work” is table stakes. What we’re building requires something rarer from its leaders: those who choose the harder path for the sake of the team, who continue to grow even when they’re already good, and who bring the kind of relentless pursuit of delivering concrete value to the customer, not just building a stronger resume. This is a place for low-ego, high-agency, problem-solvers who think deeply and execute to excellence.
If you’re looking for a role where you can own meaningful problems, build with a great team, and transform an entire category through trust... keep reading.
Head Of Technology Opportunity
ProEdge is seeking a Head of Technology who can walk into a healthy business – one that's growing fast, winning in its market, and sitting on untapped potential that technology hasn't really touched yet – and answer the wide-open question: where can AI and smart technology create the most meaningful impact for our team, our operations, and our customers?
You'll work closely with senior leadership to build the technology strategy from the ground up, which means your thinking will actually help shape where this company goes. You’ll inherit a stable IT foundation, giving you a running start, not a cleanup job.
But what you won’t inherit is a ceiling.
You’ll report directly to the President and work together to identify where AI, automation, and data can drive real business outcomes — lower costs, faster decisions, less administrative drag, and more value to our customers. Then you’ll execute on it.
In The First 12 Months, Success Looks Like
- You've mapped the landscape across systems, data, integrations, and where the real friction lives and leadership has a clear, prioritized picture of where technology can move the needle most.
- AI tools are in active use across the organization and not just piloted by the tech curious. Team members are actually working differently because of your work.
- At least two meaningful automation or AI initiatives have measurably reduced cost, time, or manual effort.
- Leaders are making faster, more confident decisions because business intelligence tools are more aligned to their activities and more actionable toward their goals.
- Own our security posture and ensure the organization has a grounded understanding of technology and data risk.
The Toolkit You'll Bring
- AI as Human Empowering – Proficiency in AI tool and innovation and a genuine belief that they exist to make people more effective, not replace them
- Strategic Execution – You can translate strategic intent into systems and workflows that actually get implemented and maintained
- High standards – You maintain strong expectations for solutions created, not just does it “technically work” or look impressive, but is it truly serve the people using it
- Collaborative – You actively partner with cross-functional teams, seek input and feedback, and make better decisions because of it
- Hands-on – You can get into the details when needed and push through obstacles without losing sight of the bigger picture
Who You'll Be (in Real Life)
- Humble – Candidate is team-first and self-improving
- Transparent – Candidate tells the truth even when it may put them in a vulnerable position
- Relational — You believe human trust is the currency of business. Tech exists to extend that, not to substitute for it
- Discerning – Candidate makes consistently wise decisions
- Smart - Candidate clearly communicates their thinking, distilling, and learning
A Note About In-Office Requirement
This is a hybrid in-office/remote role with a core schedule of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, Monday and Friday remote. ProEdge genuinely cares about the health of all team members. All of us are real people with real lives – appointments, kids get sick, moments at home we wouldn't dare miss, or the every-so-often need for a deep focus day away from the pop-ins. We’re a team that supports each other, including when those realities pop up, and offer overflowing flexibility.
That said, leading technology at ProEdge means being connected to the team you serve. That happens best when you’re here, shoulder to shoulder, much of the time. Remote leadership doesn’t deliver the same magic for us. We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being part of a great team – not impact it from a distance.
