Walker Drawas is a brand strategy, growth, and PR agency known for making and keeping brands culturally relevant through media, VIP, and experiences. With offices in Los Angeles and New York, and a newly launched SoHo showroom, we sit at the intersection of talent, brands, and culture -driving impact across fashion, beauty, lifestyle, entertainment, and beyond.
We are seeking a Media & Showroom Director to lead our New York presence - overseeing media strategy, affiliate/performance PR, and the day-to-day operations and cultural programming of our NYC showroom. This role is both strategic and highly executional, designed for someone who understands how modern media, commerce, and influence intersect and how to translate that into results for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Media Strategy & Execution
- Lead and oversee earned media strategy across fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and entertainment clients
- Drive affiliate and performance PR programs, integrating commerce into earned media to deliver measurable results (traffic, conversions, revenue)
- Build and maintain top-tier relationships with editors, commerce teams, stylists, and media partners
- Identify and secure high-impact placements across traditional, digital, and emerging platforms
- Translate cultural moments, trends, and talent narratives into strategic press opportunities
Affiliate & Performance PR
- Own and evolve Walker Drawas’ performance PR offering in NYC
- Partner with internal teams and clients to align earned media with affiliate strategy (CJ, Impact, etc.)
- Track and report on KPIs including CVR, CTR, AOV, revenue, and ROAS
- Identify commerce editorial opportunities (e.g., “best of,” seasonal roundups, tentpole moments) and drive consistent inclusion
- Collaborate on testing frameworks, UTMs, and optimization strategies to scale results
Showroom Leadership & Cultural Programming
- Oversee the Walker Drawas NYC showroom as a hub for media, VIP, and brand storytelling
- Concept and execute editor appointments, stylist pulls, talent fittings, and brand activations
- Develop ongoing cultural programming—from intimate editor previews to larger-scale experiential moments
- Ensure the showroom is a best-in-class representation of client brands and agency positioning
- Drive showroom utilization as a key engine for press, VIP engagement, and content creation
Talent & Brand Integration
- Lead initiatives that integrate talent, founders, and brand storytelling into media strategy
- Identify and activate talent-driven opportunities across press, partnerships, and experiential
- Work across Walker Drawas’ talent division to create synergy between personal PR and brand PR
Team Leadership & Growth
- Manage and mentor junior team members, fostering a high-performance, entrepreneurial culture
- Serve as a senior point of contact for clients, leading strategy and ensuring delivery against KPIs
- Contribute to new business development, including pitching and expanding existing accounts
- Continuously identify opportunities to evolve and scale Walker Drawas’ media and showroom capabilities
Qualifications
- 7–10+ years experience in PR, media relations, or integrated marketing, ideally within an agency environment
- Proven expertise in affiliate/performance PR and commerce-driven media strategy
- Strong relationships across editors, commerce teams, stylists, and talent representatives
- Experience working across multiple categories (fashion, beauty, lifestyle, entertainment, CPG)
- Deep understanding of cultural trends, media landscape, and talent-driven brand ecosystems
- Experience managing showrooms, events, or experiential activations is highly preferred
- Highly organized, entrepreneurial, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- NYC-based, with the ability to be in-office and host regularly
