FRONT DESK ASSOCIATE - FULL TIME 7 AM - 3PM
Position Summary: As a Hotel Front Desk Agent, you are the first point of contact for our guests and play a crucial role in shaping their experience. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, from check-in to check-out, ensuring every guest feels valued and their needs are met with efficiency and a friendly demeanor. This is an ideal role for someone who loves interacting with people, is highly organized, and enjoys a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Services:
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival and departure.
- Efficiently check guests in and out, processing payments and providing necessary information.
- Answer guest inquiries in person and over the phone, providing accurate information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
- Address guest concerns, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally, striving for a positive resolution.
- Handle luggage assistance and provide directions as needed.
- Reservations & Administration:
- Manage room reservations, modifications, and cancellations with precision.
- Maintain accurate guest records and room assignments.
- Process mail, messages, and calls for guests.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and report generation.
- Hotel Operations:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming lobby and front desk area.
- Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments (housekeeping, maintenance, food & beverage) to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine desire to assist guests.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with basic computer applications. (Experience with hotel property management systems (Hotel Key or Pep) is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
