About Us
At RPS, we’re solar-powered and people-powered! Every pump that leaves our warehouse means one less generator or power line—and cleaner, safer access to water. It supports healthier animals, plants, and people while boosting the resilience, independence, and self-sufficiency of rural families and communities.
We’re mission-driven, impact-focused, and yes—we’re as cool as it sounds. We help folks across the country pump water sustainably, from off-grid ranches to remote homesteads. We’re a team of tinkerers, builders, customer champions, and adventurers who take pride in solving real-world problems with clean technology. No corporate fluff, just honest work that matters.
The Job
We’re looking for a Supervisor to join our Sun Titan Trailer team in Woodland, CA and help more people access clean, reliable water—without relying on fossil fuels or costly infrastructure. Sun Titan Solar Trailers are one of RPS’s fastest-growing product lines, and this role exists because the product deserves its own dedicated champion. You’ll own the day-to-day operations for Sun Titan end-to-end—from coordinating assembly, owning inventory, managing the build schedule to delivering an exceptional customer experience with on time delivery. If you love bringing order to complexity, take pride in a tight process, and want to be the go-to person for something that really matters, you’ll feel right at home here.
Essential job duties:
- Supervise and direct Sun Titan assemblers in daily production activities, providing hands-on guidance, clear instructions, and consistent support on the floor to keep things humming.
- Build and manage the Sun Titan production schedule, balancing incoming order demand with assembler availability and material readiness to hit our fulfillment targets every time.
- Develop, document, and maintain SOPs for all Sun Titan assembly, quality control, and fulfillment workflows, keeping our build processes tight, repeatable, and continuously improving.
- Serve as the Sun Titan customer service point of contact, triaging product questions, coordinating technical support responses, and making sure every customer gets a real answer fast.
- Coordinate Sun Titan orders, manage delivery timelines and communication of those timelines, and ensure the right product goes out correctly and on time.
- Develop systems for tracking and monitoring Sun Titan inventory levels and proactively communicate parts and material needs to procurement and the Head of Operations, staying ahead of shortages before they become problems.
- Train and mentor assemblers on Sun Titan build processes, product standards, and safety procedures, building a team that takes pride in doing it right the first time.
- Track Sun Titan production and fulfillment metrics, reporting regularly to the Head of Operations, surfacing issues early and coming with solutions, not just status updates.
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, and the broader operations team to anticipate Sun Titan demand, align on priorities, and ensure a seamless handoff at every stage of the order lifecycle.
- Communicate with the RPS sales team as needed to facilitate their successful selling of trailers
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area because a well-run Sun Titan floor reflects the product we’re proud to ship.
- High-five your teammates when another generator bites the dust!
What You Bring
You’re excited about work that directly impacts people’s lives and our planet. Whether you’re tech-savvy, customer-obsessed, mechanically inclined—or all three—you bring curiosity, team collaboration, and a strong sense of purpose to the table.
You might be a great fit if you:
- Hold an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field or bring 5 years equivalent hands-on experience that’s worth just as much
- Have 2+ years of experience in assembly, manufacturing, production, or warehouse operations and have experience troubleshooting wiring and production. You know how a floor runs and you’re comfortable owning your piece of it
- Have 1+ year of supervisory, team lead, or lead technician experience, or are ready and eager to take that step for the first time
- Have experience writing and developing SOPs and work instructions, you understand that a great process is a gift to everyone on the team
- Are mechanically inclined and able to lift up to 50 lbs and work comfortably in a warehouse environment, this role is on the floor, not just behind a screen
- Are a natural organizer. You thrive on schedules, checklists, and seeing a plan come together, and you keep your cool when the unexpected happens
- Can troubleshoot creatively and think like a customer
- Believe in rural resilience and clean technology
