Events Associate (High-Growth Consumer Platform)
Location: In-person (with travel)
Reports To: Events Lead / Head of Growth
Overview
We’re partnering with a fast-growing, venture-backed consumer platform operating at the intersection of community, education, and services. Events are a core acquisition and engagement channel for the business, spanning workshops, clinics, meetups, and partnerships across diverse, multicultural markets.
As the company scales from dozens to hundreds of events annually, they’re hiring an Events Associate to own the operational execution and logistics that power this program. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys managing complex, multi-event workflows.
The Opportunity
This role sits at the heart of the company’s growth engine. You’ll be responsible for ensuring events run seamlessly—from planning through execution—while helping build the infrastructure needed to scale efficiently.
It’s ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and energized by coordinating multiple moving parts across different locations and communities.
What You’ll Own
- Own end-to-end logistics for 15–30 events per month (mostly online events with 1-3 in-person events monthly), including venue sourcing, vendor coordination, registration management, materials production, and on-site execution
- Manage and maintain the events calendar across multiple markets, channels, and partner organizations
- Build and improve operational infrastructure, including templates, runbooks, vendor relationships, and post-event processes
- Track and report on key performance metrics (attendance, lead capture, conversion, cost per event)
- Coordinate with community partners and local organizations across key demographic markets
- Support the Events Lead on identifying and testing new event formats, venues, and expansion opportunities
- Manage event-level budgets, tracking spend vs. plan and flagging variances
What They’re Looking For
- 2–6 years of experience in events coordination, operations, or similar roles in fast-paced environments
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent events or projects without dropping details
- Experience working with consumer-facing or community-driven programs
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with high attention to detail
- Comfortable working with data and reporting on event performance
- Proficiency with event and productivity tools (e.g., registration platforms, CRM systems, project management tools, Google Workspace)
- Experience working with multicultural or multilingual communities is a strong plus
- Language skills (Spanish, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian) are a plus but not required
Who This Is For
- You thrive in execution-heavy roles and take pride in flawless logistics
- You’re proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage many moving parts simultaneously
- You enjoy working closely with diverse communities and building relationships on the ground
- You’re comfortable operating in fast-changing environments with evolving priorities
Who This Isn’t For
- Candidates seeking purely strategic roles with limited hands-on execution
- Individuals who prefer highly structured environments with minimal ambiguity
- Those uncomfortable with travel, on-site work, or managing multiple concurrent deadlines
Why This Role
- High ownership within a critical growth channel
- Opportunity to scale a program from early-stage to high-volume
- Direct exposure to growth, community, and operations leadership
- Fast-paced, mission-driven environment with tangible impact
