Director of Procurement - Indirect

A leading global organization is seeking a Director of Procurement to lead regional procurement strategy and execution across indirect and third-party spend categories. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving value creation, operational excellence, supplier performance, and risk management across the region.
The role partners closely with cross-functional and global stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business priorities, enhance efficiency, and deliver measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional procurement and category strategies that deliver cost savings, operational efficiencies, and innovation
- Drive measurable value delivery across spend, including cost optimization, demand management, and process improvements
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, including contract negotiation, performance management, and risk mitigation
- Partner with business leaders and operational teams to align sourcing strategies with organizational objectives
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team across multiple locations
- Implement and drive adoption of procurement technologies and digital tools to enhance efficiency and visibility
- Support sustainability and responsible sourcing initiatives across the supplier base
- Collaborate with global procurement teams to align on category strategies and leverage scale where appropriate
- Establish performance metrics and governance to track procurement effectiveness and continuous improvement
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or related field
- MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPSM or equivalent) are a plus
Experience
- 15+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing, with significant leadership responsibility
- Proven success leading regional or global procurement teams within complex organizations
- Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable cost savings and business value
- Experience managing large supplier portfolios and complex commercial negotiations
- Strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement transformation
- Experience working in a global, matrixed environment
