Purpose Statement: Meet the profitable revenue objectives for assigned Sector/Regional customers and targets by leading efforts in the pursuit of assigned accounts within the Plexus sales process. Develop and maintain an expertise in Plexus engineering services capabilities while building an understanding of the engineering services needs of assigned Sector/Region. Working in a "One Plexus" manner with the appropriate Business Development Directors, Customer Managers/Directors, Project Directors, and Engineering Solutions site personnel associated with assigned accounts, and under the direction of the Director of Engineering Solutions, take a leadership role in the development of account relationships that will lead to the creation and winning of Engineering Solutions (PLXS-ENG) business opportunities. The three pillars are Customer Engagement, Sector/Regional Expertise, and PLXS-ENG Services Expertise; each of these three pillars have a separate subsection under the Specific/Additional Accountabilities & Job Functions section. Key Job Accountabilities:
- Acquire new Plexus Customers by a) winning profitable initial PLXS-ENG engagements, and b) supporting new Plexus Manufacturing (PLXS-MFG) engagements by promoting our PD and PC capabilities as a competitive advantage with occasional support from a mentor and Director of Engineering Solutions.
- In concert with PLXS-ENG Operations and the sector/region, grow/retain existing Plexus customers by winning profitable PLXS-ENG revenue (recurring revenue stream) and b) fulfilling the intent of our “One Plexus” Value Stream with occasional support from a mentor and Director of Engineering Solutions.
- Build/maintain long-term, win-win customer relationships by a) being a trusted advisor providing consistent, measurable contributions to the customer’s growth and profitability, and b) ensuring PLXS-ENG brand awareness/alignment with occasional support from a mentor and Director of Engineering Solutions.
- Influence/drive the evolution of PLXS-ENG service offerings and sector/region go-to-market models by a) obtaining Voice of the Customer (VOC), b) Understanding end-market trends, competitive environment and differentiators, and c) providing input to the Director of Engineering Solutions to assist in prioritizing internal “asks” based on projected leverage (ROI) with occasional support from a mentor and Director of Engineering Solutions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and guide to the internal Go-to-Market operations partners through the conceptual and strategic selling process for PLXS-ENG opportunities.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required with 6 or more years of related experience preferred.
