Your role at Baxter
Provide leadership andownership of advanced analytical support, performance reporting and field sales variable compensation calculations for the US/Canada Baxter sales forces. The candidate is responsible for partnering with sales leaders, finance, human resources, and incentive compensation (IC) leadership to design/develop annual compensation and contest plans in alignment with the business’s strategic imperatives.
In this high visibility role, you are a critical function in supporting our sales team's Incentive Compensation program. Help design and drive the process while partnering closely with sales leaders.
What you will be doing
Partner across functions on the design and development of annual commission and contest plans, motivating sales behaviors in alignment with annual objectives for the US/Canada Baxter sales forces.
Advanced analytics and database management may be required for annual quota allocations and monthly adjustments.
Execute annual modelling for commission and overachievement rates.
Manage commission adjustments and customer alignments, calculate monthly commissions, and submit commission payouts to payroll in alignment with the published variable payroll calendar.
Ability to execute data mining and dashboard creation upon request.
Execute monthly calculation and reporting of sales contest, awards, and sprints; Prepare and present yearend contest trip and awards performance for sales leadership approval.
Execute payment approvals and coordinate adjustments to sales data to ensure accurate commission payments are in alignment with Incentive Compensation policies and governance.
Provide just-in-time reporting for HR, Sales and/or Marketing related to owned sales team annual and historic sales performance reporting.
Analyze and make recommendations on business issues and opportunities related to variable compensation.
Operate with a continuous improvement mindset to drive a LEAN culture and advance the organization digital transformation journey.
Participate in and/or lead process innovation projects to develop and identify procedural gaps, drive for improvement, create efficiencies, eliminate waste, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Adhere to compliance with internal procedures and processes.
Own documentation of payout processes as required by internal controls.
What you will bring
Effective leadership and project management skills
Strong analytical, modelling, and problem-solving skills are required
Advanced Excel skills; Strong working knowledge of Tableau, PowerPoint and database management tools desired
Demonstrates ownership and accountability for delivering timely and accurate results.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Collaborative mind set.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential
Dedication to meeting and/or exceeding expectations of internal and external customers
Tableau, Cognos and/or advanced reporting skills preferred
Eagerness to develop innovative solutions using digital technology
Proficiency with Sales Performance Management (SPM) tools such as Spiff, Xactly and IBM/Varicent preferred
BA/BS required OR equivalent work experience.
3+ years of experience in Finance, Commercial Operations, or related field
Incentive Compensation experience preferred

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $80,000 to $110,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
