Summary
The Finance Analyst position within the Sales Finance organization will be responsible for reporting and analytics of financials for the Sales leadership teams to achieve business, financial, and strategic objectives while upholding fiduciary responsibilities to create sustainable shareholder value. Duties and responsibilities of this role include working on a variety of business objectives such as reporting & analysis, cost center tracking, MDF management, and monthly/quarterly close activities. The role will also maintain and enhance reporting tools such as Power BI dashboards and Sales Alignment reports, as well as develop new dashboards to track various KPIs. Additionally, the Analyst will support budget preparation and forecasting efforts by delivering accurate data and insights to Sales Leadership.
They will work in a dynamic team environment partnering closely with Sales, Corporate Accounting, Business Units and within the Sales & Growth Finance team to develop and analyze key performance metrics to drive positive business performance by delivering timely periodic forecasts and reporting to Sales Leadership. This will include areas such as spend performance versus budget for cost center and MDF expenses, various PBI Dashboards and other key areas where opportunities arise.
Responsibilities of this role include but not limited to:
- Assist the Senior Finance Manager with Cost Center tracking and Market Development Fund (MDF) support
- Walmart Team Support consisting of monthly/quarterly close activities and weekly reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
- Process and reconcile invoices for Sales, maintaining accuracy and compliance with financial guidelines
- Maintain and update Forge programs to support below-the-line trade monitoring and processing in alignment with the AOP forecast
- Manage, update, and enhance reporting tools, including maintaining existing Power BI dashboards and Sales Alignment reports
- Handle vendor setup and maintenance, ensuring accurate records for new and existing vendors
- Provide data and reporting support to Sales Finance to assist with budget preparation and forecasting
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance field.
- Experience: 1-2 years’ related experience in related Accounting or Finance roles.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners and leadership.
- Computer Skills: Strong experience with and knowledge of datasets and Tyson business processes. Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint). Experience with Power BI, Analysis for Excel, Blacksmith (Forge) and accrual rate management are a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- The ability to perform in a dynamic and cross-functional team environment is critical.
- Strong organization skills to manage & prioritize a broad range of responsibilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
