Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Pass and Seymour Team in West Hartford, CT.
What Will You Do?
- Lead EWS Operations Finance reporting for Value Added, COGS, Inventory, Capital, and other key operational metrics.
- Develop and implement standardized financial processes across the Electrical Wiring Systems division to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Support and improve the annual budget and forecast processes for operations.
- Conduct monthly close analysis to ensure accuracy in all EWS Financial Statements.
- Partner with manufacturing and operations leaders to analyze efficiencies, evaluate business models, and support decision-making.
- Support key strategic operations projects such as footprint analysis, inventory optimization, and make-buy analysis.
- Design and maintain operating review templates and dashboards for executive reporting.
- Support with forecast, actual analysis and budgeting.
- Perform ad-hoc financial and project analysis to support strategic initiatives and business cases.
- Assist all levels of management in understanding and interpreting financial results, budgets and related financial information and processes.
- Collect and analyze data for monthly financial forecast, coordinating inputs and preparing forecast for review.
- Work with other members of the finance team to complete month-end close in a timely fashion.
- Review and analyze various business functions and help develop process improvement plans to increase efficiency and improve financial results.
- Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly Operations review
Qualifications
Education: BA in Finance or Accounting
Experience: 3+ years of experience in accounting and/or finance; MBA preferred.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.
- Requires close attention to detail, ability to audit work to identify issues and implement processes to prevent errors.
- Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends and establish proactive corrective actions.
- Be a team player, working with multiple sites remotely.
- Exceptional computer skills, extensive knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint. Company specific accounting and finance software and systems a plus (BPC, Planful).
- Must be able to communicate effectively both in written format and oral presentation and to give and receive detailed/complex and sensitive information, and process that information appropriately.
- Demonstrated ability to create effective reports, presentations, and business correspondence.
- Must have solid business acumen and understanding of a variety of functional areas within the business.
