Role
As an integral member of our Emergency Management team, you will play a critical role in helping communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from natural disasters, public health emergencies, and other potential crises. Planners for SRP Partners will be expected to:
- - Assist with development, implementation, and maintenance of emergency management plans and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments, identify potential hazards and vulnerabilities, and analyze data and trends to inform emergency management planning and decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including other emergency management professionals, Federal, State, and local government agency staff, Community Based Organizations, and others to ensure effective emergency preparedness, response, recovery.
- Coordinate and conduct emergency drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of emergency plans.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local, state, and federal emergency management agencies and organizations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on current emergency management practices and policies and provide recommendations for improvements as needed.

Professionals with prior Federal Emergency Management Agency and/or Maryland Department of Emergency Management experience are preferred. Priority will be given to candidates with additional specialized expertise, including:
