The Party Staff, Inc. is actively hiring
experienced Event Cooks to support events and food service operations throughout
San Diego County.
We partner with
hotels, corporate dining facilities, event venues, private clients, and catering companies across the region, supporting everything from high-volume kitchens to upscale events.
These are
on-call flexible positions ideal for experienced culinary professionals who want consistent opportunities while maintaining control of their schedule. Some shifts are scheduled in advance, while others are last-minute.
You choose when you work.
A minimum commitment of two Saturdays per month is required.
Position: Event Cook (Experienced Only)

• Line cook, prep cook, and grill cook assignments
• Work in fast-paced kitchens supporting events, banquets, and corporate dining
• Assist with food prep, cooking, plating, and maintaining kitchen standards
• Follow recipes, production lists, and direction from chefs or kitchen leads
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards at all times
Pay
• $21–$24 per hour starting base wage, depending on experience
• Weekly pay
• Opportunities for higher-paying placements and consistent work for top performers
What We’re Looking For
•
Previous professional kitchen experience REQUIRED (restaurant, catering, hotel, or corporate dining)
• Strong knife skills and understanding of kitchen operations
• Ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced environments
• Food safety knowledge and professionalism in the kitchen
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Reliable transportation strongly recommended (client locations throughout San Diego County)
• Team-oriented, dependable, and able to take direction on-site
