About the Role
We are looking for an energetic, reliable, and organized Assistant Manager to join our team. In this role, you aren't just "renting space"—you are providing peace of mind to customers during major life transitions. You will work closely with the Property Manager to oversee daily operations, maintain the facility, and ensure our occupancy goals are met.
Key Responsibilities
• Customer Excellence: Greet walk-in customers, handle inquiries via phone/email, and provide expert tours of the facility to convert leads into rentals.
• Sales & Marketing: Meet or exceed monthly leasing goals by explaining the value of our units and insurance/merchandise products (locks, boxes, tape).
• Operational Oversight: Assist with rent collection, processing payments, and managing delinquent accounts (including the lien and auction process).
• Facility Care: Perform daily property "walk-arounds" to ensure units are clean, secure, and ready for move-in. Maintenance, cleaning (including restrooms) and keeping the office tidy are part of the daily rhythm.
• Software Management: Use our property management software to track inventory, update tenant records, and generate reports.
What We’re Looking For
• Experience: 1–2 years in retail, hospitality, or sales (Self-storage experience is a plus, but we are happy to train the right personality!).
• Tech Savvy: Comfortable using specialized software, Microsoft Office, and basic POS systems.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written skills in Spanish and English; you should be comfortable "asking for the sale."
• Problem Solvers: Ability to work independently and handle occasional "tricky" customer situations with a calm, professional demeanor.
• Physical Ability: Must be comfortable walking the property and occasionally lifting (moving boxes/cleaning units).
• Monthly Performance Bonuses: Earn extra for hitting occupancy and merchandise targets.
