Opportunity for part-time employment at a Fruit Tree Nursery located in Bonita on a ten acre ranch in a semi-rural setting. We are in the process of transforming from a nursery to an educational permaculture and sustainability park for the community. Knowledge regarding tree care is preferred. Plumbing/irrigation experience is a plus. Duties could include watering trees, setting up irrigation, application of fertilizer, moving trees to larger sized pots, tree pruning, plant propagation and weed removal. The nursery is only open on Sat and Sun, (10-4), and we could use some help with plant care and sales on the weekend. During the week, we are looking for a “pinch-hitter”, with flexibility in scheduling. Weekday shifts are 4-5 hours, possibly longer depending on that day’s projects. Our need for help is seasonal, but regular employment could be available for a motivated individual with broad skill sets.
