Summary:
MicroVision has an exciting opportunity for an IT Director in a key leadership position. As the IT leader, you will work directly with all teams at MicroVision to enable and support information technology platforms as well as drive the company’s IT strategy in partnership with the executive leadership team. The IT Director will plan, coordinate, direct, and design technology systems-related activities for the business and will provide administrative direction and support for the daily operational activities of the IT department.
Your responsibilities:
- Drive MicroVision’s overall IT strategy and leads the continued development of the strategic IT roadmap for the company’s global technology infrastructure and security
- Ensure roadmap alignment with company objectives
- Ensure maintenance of effective cybersecurity environment, addressing emerging issues, trends, and threat mitigation; support quarterly reporting to the company’s Audit Committee
- Work directly with business owners to understand requirements and proactively manage expectations with stakeholders
- Manage IT resources and budget to maximize return and overall value
- Provide leadership and direct desktop hardware and software support for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux systems
- Support site network infrastructure and recommend necessary improvements/upgrades for routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access, NAS, DNS, VPN, VLAN, etc
- Communicate updates to the IT roadmap and risk mitigation plan on a regular cadence to leadership
- Responsibility and oversight for all IT policies, including keeping policies up-to-date and ensuring compliance with all policies and SOX 404 internal controls
- Plan and execute preparations for initial certifications and ongoing audits, including ISO 9001 and 27001, TISAX, and CMMC
- Support objections for ITAR compliance
- Collaborate with staff leading AI initiatives to ensure proper data security and seamless integrations
- Implement plans for remediation when IT policies are out-of-date and/or not being followed
- Plan and implement training for new systems and technology for the entire organization
- Manage direct reports’ assignments, goals, development, and performance across all locations
Our requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, management information systems, or related field
- 12 + years’ working experience in IT or related field with progressively increased levels of responsibility
- 5 + years of people leadership and managing others
- Expertise in network security, security architecture, identity management, cybersecurity, and threat mitigation
- Self-starter with a bias towards action and learning new technologies
- Experience supporting Windows, Mac OS, and Linux
- Experience administrating Cisco IOS, Meraki, Palo Alto Networks, Windows Server, WordPress, AWS and Azure
- Demonstrated capability to understand and communicate organizational priorities and align to company objectives
- Experience with assessing needs, developing, and implementing training for a technically savvy organization
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization
- Understanding legal requirements governing data auditing, privacy and security including GDPR, CCPA, Sarbanes Oxley, and other related legislation
You must live within commuting distance of MicroVision’s office in Orlando, FL.
