Mission of Role/Position Summary:
The IT Support Analyst provides hands-on, onsite technical support while assisting with cybersecurity and compliance initiatives aligned with
CMMC and
NIST frameworks. This role is ideal for a technically strong, responsive professional who values purpose-driven work and understands how reliable, secure technology directly supports mission-critical community services.
The position supports (but does not own) cybersecurity and compliance efforts led by senior team members and offers a clear pathway to grow into more advanced cybersecurity or compliance-focused roles over time.
Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:

IT Support and Operations:
- Provide onsite IT support at the Denver office and travel to nearby locations (within approximately 50 miles) as needed
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues that cannot be addressed remotely
- Diagnose and resolve network and WiFi issues impacting operations and service delivery
- Support printer environments, including coordination and escalation with vendors (e.g., Xerox, Verizon)
- Assist with workstation setup, deployment, upgrades, and lifecycle management across ACDC and Bayaud
- Ensure technology systems remain reliable, secure, and accessible for staff delivering mission-critical services
- Coordinate with external vendors, ISPs, and service providers to resolve technical issues
- Work independently onsite while effectively managing priorities across multiple locations
Cybersecurity and Compliance Support
- Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of cybersecurity controls aligned with CMMC, NIST CSF
- Assist with cybersecurity documentation, audits, and evidence collection to support compliance readiness
- Monitor and respond to endpoint security alerts using tools such as SentinelOne, including basic threat investigation and remediation
- Help manage endpoint security, identity and access controls, and security monitoring tools
- Identify and remediate basic security gaps in systems and processes to protect organizational and community data
- Support validation that systems, controls, and documentation align with contractual and regulatory requirements
- Help gather, organize, and maintain evidence for audits, assessments, and RFP responses
- Contribute to security awareness initiatives and assist with training tracking
- Collaborate with leadership and senior technical staff to confirm compliance posture for awarded and prospective work
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of endpoint security tools, identity/access management, and security best practices
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networks
- Ability to monitor and respond to endpoint security alerts
- Clear communication skills with both technical and non‑technical users
- Ability to effectively document tickets, systems, and compliance evidence
- Ability to coordinate with vendors and service providers
- Ability to work independently onsite and manage shifting priorities
- Ability to identify and resolve issues proactively with a security‑focused mindset
- Ability to learn new systems, tools, and compliance requirements quickly
- Collaboration skills to work with leadership and technical teams on audits and compliance tasks
- Ability to travel locally and support technical needs across multiple locations
Expected Hours of Work:
Schedule may vary. Work on evenings and weekends may be required. Dependability and punctuality are paramount.
Travel Requirements:
- Up to 50% travel is expected for this position
- Must be willing to travel and deploy to client sites for extended periods of time
Physical Demands:
- Mobility required on-site with clients
- Sitting or standing for hours at a time
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time if needed
- Ability to manipulate up to 25 lbs. repetitively throughout the day and as needed
Working Environment:
- Emergency management personnel may work in an office or home environment or be deployed to the field which may require working outdoors in adverse weather conditions
- Work may be on-site with clients ex: EOC, hospital, debris sites or local government buildings
- All AC Disaster Consulting (ACDC) positions are remote work site positions with the home location agreed upon at time of hire
- If the remote work site locations change, ACDC Human Resources must be made aware, and leadership needs to approve any site changes for business registration and payroll tax purposes
Requirements
Experience/Education Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 4+ years of demonstrated experience in IT support, systems administration, or cybersecurity
- 4+ years documented understanding of Windows systems, workstations, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, WiFi)
- 4+ years documented familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks like CMMC, NIST CSF
- CompTIA A+ Certification
Experience/Education Preferred:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field preferred
- Certifications preferred:
- CompTIA Security+
- Microsoft Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500)
- Microsoft Security Operations Analyst (SC-200)
Additional Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsored visa is required. We are not able to employ those located outside of the US
- Must pass company and any applicable client background check and reference check upon offer of employment
