Job Summary
The Manager, MEDITECH Systems leads the Clinical Application Analysts supporting HCA’s MEDITECH Magic 567 and Expanse platforms. This manger position oversees order entry and physician documentation. In addition this role is responsible for resource management, operational execution, and change leadership to ensure clinical applications effectively support business initiatives and enterprise standards while fostering strong partnerships across leadership, stakeholders, and vendors.
They will collaborate with team members to define requirements, design the functional solution, identify and resolve project issues, and ensure the ITG solution meets requirements. Managers are expected to lead projects, including those with significant interdependencies with existing systems. Prioritizes multiple activities and tasks simultaneously and adapts to a rapidly changing environment. Managers are expected to hire new team members and assist with onboarding and mentoring new team members.
Major Responsibilities
Resource Management
- Lead, supervise, and develop Clinical Application Analysts supporting MEDITECH platforms.
- Perform personnel actions including hiring, assignments, performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective action as needed.
- Direct daily staff activities to ensure alignment with departmental goals and work objectives.
- Allocate resources appropriately to optimize productivity and meet deliverables.
- Working with Clinical Systems leadership, establishes clear objectives for staff and sets stretch objectives. Collaborates with employees to define individual career development plans and encourages employee to track progress against development plan.
- Coach and guide, ensuring assignments provide growth opportunities for employees.
- Conduct performance evaluations, providing positive feedback and identification of any improvement areas.
- Ensures regular communication occurs with employee, maintaining two-way dialogue on work and results; is a clear communicator.
- Cultivates a motivating environment that brings out the best in people and improves performance of others.
Operational and Change Management
- Assess operational challenges, develop options, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Ensure proper processes to deliver technical solutions are followed.
- Build solid relationships with leadership, business partners, staff, and vendors.
- Recommend and lead charge for various departmental process improvements.
- Helps out Operations Team as needed, including occasional on-call activities
- Process Improvement Focus – Identifies opportunities to improve existing processes.
- Participate and coordinate Corporate Change Management process for MEDITECH related work.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree Preferred
- 7+ years of experience in related role, working with clinical applications and/or EHRs Required
- 1+ years of experience in Management role Preferred

- Must be located in or willing to relocate to the Greater Area of Nashville, TN
