Position Description:
Join a dynamic Network Operations team supporting 24/7 critical infrastructure. We are seeking a skilled IT Operator with strong process management abilities, excellent troubleshooting skills, and experience with network hardware and monitoring systems. In this role, you'll monitor, maintain, and optimize network connections, working collaboratively with vendors and internal teams to ensure seamless operations.
This position offers flexible shifts, including 12-hour rotations, to ensure continuous coverage. Work locations are either in Vienna, VA or Pensacola, FL, with a hybrid work schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support network hardware including routers and switches.
- Monitor network connections and performance using systems like Moogsoft or equivalent alert tools.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams via ticketing portals such as ServiceNow.
- Maintain detailed documentation and generate reports on system performance.
- Escalate issues as needed and participate in on-call rotation for 24/7 coverage.
- Follow established processes for incident management and resolution.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong process management and troubleshooting skills.
- General knowledge of networking hardware (routers, switches).
- Experience with network monitoring and alert systems (Moogsoft or similar).
- Familiarity with vendor relations and portal ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Teams).
- Excellent written communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Relevant technical certifications or experience preferred.
