Chenango Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated and motivated Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Cardiology team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cardiology NP or a Primary Care NP interested in transitioning into a cardiology specialty role.
Position Overview
The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with our cardiologists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The ideal candidate will be flexible, eager to learn, and comfortable practicing with a high level of autonomy as their experience grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients in our cardiology practice
- Perform hospital consults and assist with inpatient follow-up
- Participate in shared call coverage
- Collaborate with the cardiology care team to ensure coordinated and effective care
- Educate patients and families regarding cardiac conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Qualifications
- Current NYS Nurse Practitioner license (FNP, AGNP, or ANP accepted)
- Experience in cardiology preferred, but primary care NPs with a strong interest in cardiology are encouraged to apply
- Willingness to train and develop advanced cardiology skills
- Ability to participate in call rotation and consult coverage
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient education skills
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $136,000 – $156,000 annually
