Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Nuclear Medicine/ PET Technologist at our facility, you will be joining a collaborative team that is dedicated to serving our patients and also supporting one another. This position requires comprehensive understanding of related technology, independent judgment, and complete knowledge of all Federal and Utah Regulatory Commission rules and regulations. In this role you will:
- Be responsible for performing Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT examinations.
- Administer diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals to patients, via I.V. injection, inhalation, or oral administration.
- Perform study coordination of imaging and theragnostic treatment.
- Perform preclinical imaging studies using SPECT /CT and PET / CT scanners.
- You may directly supervise students at the discretion of the area supervisor.
- Be responsible for assisting in the primary mission of the medical imaging department by ensuring that proper diagnostic information is provided through the production of high-quality PET/CT scans as well as individual PET procedures and diagnostic CT procedures.
What qualifications you will need:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date
- (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
- (CNMT) Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist, or (NMT) Nuclear Medicine Technologist, or (ARRT-R) Radiography
- CT certification required
