The Role
This is a strategic and hands on leadership position responsible for Information Security, IT Operations, and Solutions Analytics. The right person brings a track record in trust administration platforms, RIA technology ecosystems, and regulatory compliance alongside the leadership skills to develop a high performing team and partner directly with senior executives.
What You Will Do
- Lead the selection, implementation, and ongoing management of trust and wealth management platforms (such as SEI, FiServ, Tamarac, Orion, or similar) and ensure those systems are deeply integrated with the broader technology environment
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert on RIA compliance technology requirements including data security, recordkeeping, and audit readiness under SEC and state regulatory frameworks
- Partner with Wealth Management, Trust, and Estate Administration leaders to understand workflow needs and deliver technology solutions that reduce friction and improve client outcomes
- Own the IT budget and vendor relationships, with particular attention to fintech and wealth tech providers
- Drive cloud strategy and infrastructure optimization across Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, and SaaS solutions
- Lead project planning and delivery across the full SDLC, bringing initiatives in on time and on budget
- Build a service oriented IT culture that supports both day to day operations and long term innovation
- Keep senior leadership informed on risk, security posture, and strategic technology opportunities
What They Are Looking For
- 7 to 10 years of progressive IT leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a trust company, RIA, wealth management firm, family office, or bank trust department
- Direct experience with trust accounting or portfolio management platforms is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks relevant to RIAs and trust companies (SEC, FINRA, or state trust regulations)
- Proven ability to architect and manage cloud based, asset light environments (Azure, SaaS)
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform and data analytics strongly preferred
- Strong project management skills; PMP or equivalent a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
- A communicator who can translate technical complexity for non technical executives and board level audiences
