Job Summary
The IT Support Technician is responsible for supporting the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to ensure minimal production downtime and maximum throughput. This role works with MES, ERP, SCADA, IoT systems, and IT hardware to ensure that manufacturing users can carry out their activities without interruption. The technician collaborates with IT, automation, and production teams to maintain stable factory operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure and provide operational support to manufacturing production lines in rotating shifts for MES applications and IT hardware to eliminate or reduce production downtime.
- Work on projects to deploy MES applications to new production lines and test new functionality or features developed for MES.
- Be accountable for MES asset management and tracking the deployment of new assets.
- Maintain documentation and follow required Process Change Notices (PCN), deviations, and approval processes.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve system-related issues and support improvements in production processes.
Required QualificationsEducation & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience working with MES systems or industrial IT solutions.
Technical Skills
- Troubleshooting and installation of desktops, laptops, printers, and barcode scanners.
- Basic knowledge of MES software and manufacturing process flows.
- Basic knowledge of network troubleshooting.
- Experience installing and troubleshooting Windows client applications.
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- Experience coordinating with vendors for machine integration with MES applications (e.g., cameras, welding machines, etc.).
- Troubleshooting issues related to Windows patches and antivirus updates.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, quality, and automation.
- Strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of MSSQL databases.
- Experience or knowledge integrating PLCs or SCADA systems.
- Experience with machine automation using sensors, PLCs, or related technologies.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Work is performed in both office and manufacturing environments and may require supporting production systems during rotating shifts. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required when entering production areas.
