Position Summary
The Director of Information Technology serves as the senior technology leader for Denver Summit FC, responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and ongoing operation of all stadium, performance center, and enterprise technology systems.
This role ensures technology infrastructure supports world-class matchday operations, elite player performance, and exceptional fan engagement, while maintaining enterprise-grade cybersecurity, governance, and scalability aligned with club and league objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Stadium & Venue Technology Leadership
- Lead the design, implementation, commissioning, and lifecycle management of all stadium and performance center technology systems, including structured cabling, network infrastructure (MDF/IDF), broadcast integration, IPTV, digital signage, ribbon/fascia boards, POS, ticketing systems, and control environments.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive venue technology roadmap from construction through opening and ongoing operations.
- Oversee testing, training, and system turnover prior to venue launches.
- Provide onsite executive technology leadership and escalation support during events.
- Ensure all systems support matchday operations, broadcast requirements, media needs, and fan experience platforms.
- Monitor and test system performance both on event days and non-event days.
Enterprise IT & Corporate Systems
- Develop and execute a long-term enterprise IT-technology strategy aligned with club business objectives, ensuring scalability beyond initial venue launch.
- Oversee day-to-day corporate IT operations including end-user support, collaboration platforms, device management, SaaS administration, and service delivery standards.
- Partner with Operations, Marketing, Sales, and Business Intelligence to support mobile app integrations, digital fan engagement platforms, CRM, ticketing, and data analytics platforms.
- Lead integration efforts across CRM, ticketing, marketing platforms, mobile app ecosystems, data analytics, and business intelligence systems.
- Translate operational and sporting department requirements into scalable, secure technology solutions.
- Build, mentor, and manage an internal IT team, establishing service standards, policies, operating procedures, and professional development plans.
Cybersecurity & Governance
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity program including risk assessment, identity and access management, incident response planning, and third-party risk oversight.
- Develop disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity plans to ensure operational resilience for both matchday and business-critical systems.
- Ensure compliance with NWSL league standards, data privacy regulations, and organizational security policies.
- Create and enforce IT governance processes including procurement review, lifecycle management, change control, and technology standards.
IT Vendor & Budget Management
- Manage enterprise IT-software, including vendor selection, contract management, renewals, and performance evaluation.
- Develop and manage operating and capital budgets for all IT systems and staffing.
- Oversee contract lifecycle management, renewals, and performance evaluation.
League & External Partnerships
- Represent the Club in league-wide technology initiatives and shared platform coordination.
- Ensure compliance with League technology standards, data privacy regulations, and established organizational security policies.
- Ensure alignment with National Women’s Soccer League standards and emerging league innovations.

Qualifications
Minimum
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience.
- 5+ years leading multi-site infrastructure, venue technology, or live event technology environments.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing cybersecurity frameworks and enterprise IT governance.
- Experience managing capital budgets and vendor negotiations.
- Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred
- Experience in professional sports, entertainment venues, or large public assembly environments.
- ITIL SL, ITIL MP, or similar professional certifications
- CISM, CISSP, CRISC, or similar cybersecurity and risk management certifications
- Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards.

- Ensure IT roadmap, redundancy, and building are all compatible with each other
- Ability to innovate and create new processes from scratch
Working Conditions & Physical Demands

Compensation
- Base salary range $120,000 - $135,000 per annum
- Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
