The Data & Reporting Intern supports Medbio’s efforts to improve data credibility, reporting clarity, and decision confidence across the organization. This role focuses on understanding how data and reports are currently created, used, and trusted, and helping document and rationalize reporting practices across systems. The internship is intentionally foundational. The intern will support discovery, analysis, and documentation efforts that inform Medbio’s future data and reporting roadmap, rather than owning production reporting or system configuration.

- Assist in inventorying existing reports across ERP, reporting tools, and spreadsheet-based processes.
- Document report purpose, users, data sources, and the business decisions each report supports.
- Help classify reports by type (operational, management, executive) and frequency of use.
- Identify reporting gaps, redundancies, and areas of manual data manipulation.
- Support basic data analysis and documentation of data definitions and assumptions where appropriate.
- Assist with the development of simple reporting or dashboard prototypes, as time and scope allow.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to understand data needs and pain points.
- Perform other related duties as assigned in support of IT and business execution priorities.
Organizational Relationships:
Works closely with IT leadership and ERP/application stakeholders. Interfaces with Finance, Operations, Quality, and Commercial teams to understand reporting needs. May interact with external partners or vendors in support of reporting discovery efforts. Collaborates with other interns or project team members when applicable.
Experience and/or Educational Requirements:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Strong interest in data, analytics, and how information supports decision-making.
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets and structured data; familiarity with SQL, Power BI, or similar tools is a plus but not required.
- Ability to organize information clearly and communicate effectively.
- Curiosity, attention to detail, and willingness to ask questions.
