One of ten districts across Louisiana, MHSD was created by the state legislature in 2003 to oversee the delivery of publicly funded, community-based mental health, addictive disorders and developmental disabilities services to our area. MHSD serves adults, children and families of Orleans, Plaquemines and St. Bernard Parishes. In particular, we serve residents who are uninsured, or Medicaid eligible/covered, individuals suffering from mental illness, individuals suffering from addiction, and individuals who have developmental and/or intellectual disabilities.
MHSD is hiring an experienced IT professional to support mission-critical systems across multiple locations
The IT Technical Support Analyst 2 or 3 provides comprehensive technical support and systems administration services to all Metropolitan Human Services District (MHSD) locations. This position combines experienced-level infrastructure management with user-focused help desk services to ensure reliable operations of critical IT systems supporting the agency's behavioral health mission.
The incumbent performs a variety of technical support activities including hardware deployment and maintenance, cloud and virtualized systems administration, enterprise voice communications management, and end-user training and support. This position requires daily multi-site travel, after-hours availability for critical systems support, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with the IT team.
Minimum Qualifications
Four years of experience in information technology; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus two years of experience in information technology; OR
An associate's degree in information technology plus two years of experience in information technology; OR
A bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in information technology; OR
A bachelor's degree with twenty-four semester hours in an information technology, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or business analytics field plus one year of experience in information technology; OR
A master's degree plus one year of experience in information technology.
Experience Substitution:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
Note regarding the advertised pay range: The advertised maximum amount listed is the maximum salary a person can make while in this title/level over their career and not the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.
Career Progression: This position may be filled as an
IT Technical Support Analyst 2 or 3, determined by the qualifications of the candidate selected. This position provides the opportunity to advance within this job series.
