Job Overview:
We are seeking an IT Specialist to join our team and serve as the first line of support for our employees. The ideal candidate will primarily handle help desk responsibilities, while also bringing working knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft 365 (O365) administration. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving, supporting end-users, and growing their technical skill set across multiple IT domains.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Help Desk Support
- Provide first-level technical support to employees via phone, email, and in-person.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
- Escalate complex problems to senior IT staff or vendors when necessary.
Active Directory
- Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions.
- Assist with password resets, account lockouts, and access requests.
- Support onboarding/offboarding processes by provisioning and deactivating accounts.
Microsoft 365 (O365)
- Provide support for Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Assist with mailbox management and distribution lists.
- Troubleshoot common O365 issues and escalate when needed.
General IT Support
- Maintain and update IT documentation and knowledge base.
- Assist with hardware setup (PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices).
- Support routine system updates and patching.
- Collaborate on projects and process improvements.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Currently holds or is working towards a degree or certification in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
- Computer or IT related accreditation is a plus.
Experience:
- 3–5 years of IT support or help desk experience.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and common business applications.
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Experience in PC configuration and set-up.
- Experience setting up and configuring networks.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Autotask, ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk).
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Exposure to endpoint security tools and practices.
- Customer service mindset with patience and professionalism.

- Physical demands: While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is primarily required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and bend. Required to speak and communicate clearly with others. - Work Environment: This job primarily operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is also exposed to high levels of manufacturing and equipment noise. Duties are performed indoors in a manufacturing environment with temperature changes. Exposure to hazardous materials, fumes or airborne particles and moving mechanical parts with vibration.

Compensation and Benefits:The salary range for this role is $70,000-$90,000. This range represents the anticipated minimum and maximum base + bonus for this position based upon a good faith and reasonable estimate. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the applicant’s qualifications (education, training and/or experience related to this role), and therefore, may fall outside the range shown, depending on the circumstances.
