The Systems Administrator will manage the Information Technology (IT) needs for the Centre
Area Transportation Authority including the IT vendors and sub-contractors; provides support
and maintenance of existing IT infrastructure and applica6ons and oversees the planning for
new IT systems to determine the most effective plaCorm, soEware, and operating environments
where business applications can be maximized. Purchases, installs and supports CATA's exis6ng
business software and hardware and for managing or coordinating with related vendors, the
deployment of all new software and hardware. Hardware consists of servers, worksta6on
routers, switches, and all other devices aLached to the network. Software support includes
management and support of Microsoft applications and working through vendor support
contracts to maintain and increase functionality of specialty software such as accounting,
vehicle maintenance, security, and CAD/AVL systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages Centre Area Transportation Authority's data security, computer networking, server
hardware, and operating systems
- Supports user-facing hardware and the Systems Architect, to keep CATA's technical
environment operating in a stable and efficient manner
- Manages Microsoft Office 365 hosted email and productivity software solution for the
organization.
- Installs, supports, and manages employee remote access to data and equipment across the
company.
- Reviews security and intrusion detection logs and manages cybersecurity partners
- Manages Centre Area Transportation Authority's IT Support Specialist position.
- Prepares IT-related budget items and works on obtaining and comparing quotes from
vendors.
- Manages Centre Area Transportation Authority's phone system, data lines, and IT equipment
- Completes regular updates to standard operating procedures (SOP) documentation for this
position
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in information technology and five years' experience are preferred,
Significant Additional Experience Considered In Lieu Of Educational Specificity.
Microsoft (MCSE, MCTS), Apple (ACSP), Cisco (CCNP,CCNA), Citrix(CCA-V,CCA-N), CompTIA, and
SQL Experience Are Preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
The starting salary range is $89,682.68 - $101,576.00, commensurate with experience.
