Infoverity is hiring an IT Analyst to support and improve our internal business applications and workflows. This role blends requirements gathering, process analysis/documentation, and hands-on application improvement—helping ensure our tools and data flows work well for end users while creating clear, durable documentation so knowledge isn’t trapped with a single individual.
You’ll work closely with stakeholders in Columbus and draft requirements for a global IT/development team across the US, Spain, and India. The scope includes our Business Work Management/PSA platform, Jira, data warehouse/reporting needs, and internal initiatives that use automation and AI to improve efficiency.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000
What You’ll Do
Analyze and improve applications & workflows
- Evaluate current internal applications and processes; identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities to optimize workflow and production
- Define and model improved “future state” solutions that satisfy both management and end users
- Help upgrade/enhance existing programs and configurations (with support from IT/development as needed)
Requirements & solution definition (global delivery)
- Lead discovery with stakeholders to capture business needs and translate them into:
o user stories / requirements
o acceptance criteria
o process flows and lightweight functional specifications
- Produce clear requirements packages that a distributed dev team can implement across time zones
- Support backlog refinement, prioritization, and release planning in partnership with IT leadership
Information engineering, data & cost awareness
- Support information engineering activities: definitions, data flows, integrations, and reporting requirements
- Partner with stakeholders on metrics and reporting needs; help connect operational needs to the data warehouse/reporting layer
- Incorporate basic cost/effort awareness into recommendations (e.g., “configuration vs. customization,” complexity, tradeoffs)
Documentation & knowledge capture (core expectation)
- Convert institutional knowledge into SOPs, runbooks, how-to guides, and “source of truth” documentation
- Maintain a lightweight internal knowledge base so processes are repeatable and onboarding is easier
- Create training materials and quick reference guides for end users as needed
Tools You’ll Work With (Examples)
- Business Work Management / PSA platform (work management, resourcing, time/expense, project financials)
- Jira (tickets, user stories, workflow hygiene)
- Data warehouse / reporting tools (requirements, definitions, validation)
- Automation/AI-enhanced internal workflows (documentation, adoption support)
Requirements
Required
- Bachelor’s degree (Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Operations, or similar)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to model processes and propose improvements
- Strong writing/documentation skills (clear, structured, usable artifacts)
- Ability to communicate effectively with both business users and technical teams
- Comfortable working with globally distributed teams across time zones
Nice to Have
- Internship/early experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or IT support for internal applications
- Familiarity with process mapping (Visio, Lucidchart, Miro) and/or basic modeling techniques
- Exposure to Agile concepts (user stories, acceptance criteria, backlog grooming)
- Basic data skills (Excel/Sheets; familiarity with SQL or BI tools is a plus)
