As Controller, you will lead all dealership accounting and financial activities for your assigned rooftops. This includes oversight of accounting staff, month-end close, financial reporting, operational controls, and continuous process improvement. You'll partner closely with leadership, GMs, and department managers to ensure accurate financials, compliance, and performance visibility across stores.
You will be responsible for:
- Overseeing daily accounting operations (AP/AR, schedules, reconciliations, payroll review)
- Leading month-end close and producing accurate, timely financial statements
- Benchmarking store performance and identifying opportunities to improve profitability
- Ensuring compliance with company policy, tax requirements, and internal controls
- Supporting audits, forecasts, and budgeting efforts
- Training, supporting, and developing accounting team members
- Working closely with HoneyCar leadership to enhance financial processes and systems
The Right Fit Has:
- 3-5+ years of dealership accounting experience (Controller or Office Manager experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of automotive accounting, schedules, and financial reporting
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Experience with CDK or similar DMS systems is highly preferred
- Leadership skills with a coaching mindset
- Ownership mentality - accuracy, urgency, and accountability in everything you do

- Off Sundays
