Specialist to support our operations.
The IT Specialist is the primary point of contact for employee technology needs and coordinates directly with RMH Systems’ Managed Service Provider (MSP) for most non–hands-on issues. This role ensures new employees are properly onboarded with the right technology, provides clear documentation and resources to help staff self-solve common problems, and supports day-to-day business operations through reliable IT processes. The IT Specialist plays a key role in connecting people, processes, and systems to keep the business running smoothly.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
MSP Coordination & Support
- Serve as the primary liaison between RMH Systems employees and the MSP.
- Escalate, track, and follow up on support tickets to ensure timely resolution.
- Provide hands-on support for local hardware, peripherals, and system setups as needed.
Employee Onboarding & Access Management
- Set up and configure devices, accounts, and access for new employees.
- Deliver essential technology training during onboarding to ensure a smooth start.
- Maintain and update onboarding checklists and documentation.
Documentation & Knowledge Resources
- Create and maintain FAQs, quick reference guides, and process documentation for employees.
- Standardize IT procedures to promote consistency across offices and departments.
- Regularly review and update support materials to reflect new systems or changes.
Business Operations Support
- Assist employees with common system access, account management, and application issues.
- Partner with business units to understand recurring challenges and recommend process improvements.
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventories and track equipment assignments.
Systems & Reporting
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, phones, and other essential hardware.
- Assist with upgrades, patches, and improvements under the direction of the Director of Information Technology.
- Generate IT reports and metrics for performance tracking and planning.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1–3 years of technology support or systems administration experience required.
- Prior experience working with or coordinating an MSP is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, computer systems, networks, and productivity applications.
- Ability to configure and support user devices, accounts, and common business software.
- Familiarity with IT asset management and security best practices.
- Ability to travel to RMH Systems offices as needed (less than 25%).
- Pay is based on experience. $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year.
