IT Support Specialist
Wavepoint 3PL, a growing, energetic logistics company, is looking for a full-time IT Support Specialist. This is a permanent, on-site position based in Erie County.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for end users via email, telephone, remote connection, and in-person.
- Monitor systems for performance and integrity and proactively address issues.
- Provision and deploy hardware as needed to support operations and administration, both onsite and remotely.
- Install, configure, and update software on servers and PCs.
- Utilize the helpdesk system to manage client support requests.
- Diagnose and isolate hardware/software problems and coordinate solution response.
- Coordinate with service and solutions providers to resolve system issues and alter services as directed.
- Participate in Active Directory and network administration.
Requirements
IT Support Specialist Education & Experience
- 3+ years of professional IT experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, information technology, or related field.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Experience administrating and supporting:
- Active Directory
- Windows Server
- Windows Professional
- Office / Microsoft 365
- Network wiring
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, wireless, switching, routing, firewalls). SonicWall experience preferred.
- Able to problem-solve with minimal assistance or supervision.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Effective communication with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Travel as needed to remote sites, both locally and out of the area.
- Must be able to sit at a desk for extended periods of time.
- Extended periods of typing and computer use
- Lifting: 0-20lbs. Often; 20-50 lbs. Occasionally; Over 50 lbs. Rarely.
- Occasional work from a lift or ladder
- Due to travel outside of the home office, candidates are required to have a vehicle and a valid driver's license.
