The Office of the Governor, Division of Administrative Services is looking for an IT Support Technician to join our team in Juneau!
Office of the Governor (GOV) - Information Technology Team is a cross-trained team of six; three junior positions, two senior positions and the IT Manager. This IT Support Technician position is one of the junior positions who provide IT support for the Office of the Governor, Office of the Lt. Governor, Office of Management and Budget, Division of Elections, and the Alaska State Commission for Human Rights. The GOV IT Team is responsible for the design, maintenance, troubleshooting, and security of the department’s network environment; from hardware to software support for workstations, servers, and network attached devices. This position will handle intake, basic triage, and escalation of IT requests, and support work at the intersection of procurement and IT.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, Windows operating systems, Office 365, and common networking concepts.
- Skill in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
- Strong communication and customer services skills for interacting with both technical staff and non-technical users.
- Ability to intake, triage, and escalate IT support requests efficiently using a ticketing system.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a small, cross-functional team and adapt to changing technology needs.

Equivalent To Those Typically Gained By
Training or experience that developed customer relation skills, knowledge of a variety of desktop applications, and/or knowledge of networking concepts.
