Position Overview:
As the Sales and Marketing Manager you will be responsible for driving sales growth by managing key accounts, developing new business opportunities, developing new sales team, increasing our marketing, and leading a team of sales professionals. This role requires an individual with a strong background in sales, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the plastics manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets and expand our market presence.
- Account Management: Maintain and strengthen relationships with key accounts, understanding their needs and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Business Development: Identify new business opportunities within the plastics industry, leveraging knowledge of market trends to gain new clients and expand existing accounts.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, setting clear goals and providing ongoing training and support.
- Hire and Train: Hire and develop your team to achieve company revenue targets.
- Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, competition, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions and identify areas for growth.
- Reporting and Forecasting: Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates on pipeline, forecasts, and progress toward targets.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including production, engineering, quality control, and finance, to ensure a seamless customer experience and improve product offerings.
- Marketing Campaigns: Develop and execute marketing plans and campaigns to promote products and services across various platforms.
- SEO Strategy: Oversee the development and implementation of SEO strategies to enhance the company’s online presence and website rankings.
- Content Creation: Collaborate on the creation of marketing materials, including brochures, emails, social media posts, and blog content optimized for search engines.
- Digital Marketing: Manage digital advertising campaigns, including PPC (Pay-Per-Click), social media ads, and retargeting campaigns.
- Brand Management: Ensure consistent brand messaging and positioning in all sales and marketing communications.
- Analytics: Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and website traffic, leveraging tools like Google Analytics and others to optimize effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in sales management, preferably within the plastics or manufacturing industry.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
- Ability to work SE Iowa most days
- Ability to travel when needed
