Job Summary:
We are seeking an IT Support professional to oversee our desktop computer systems, manage access protocols, and ensure seamless computer setup across our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, and a passion for providing top-notch IT support. This position will be around 20 hours a week. There may be some opportunity for more hours but expectation is to be set at approximately 20 hours a week on site in Downtown Miami.
Key Responsibilities:
Desktop Support:
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop computers.
- Ensure all desktop systems are up-to-date with the latest software and security patches.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Maintain an inventory of all desktop hardware and software.
Access Management:
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and access breaches.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Computer Setup and Deployment:
- Coordinate the setup and deployment of new computer systems.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for computer setup.
- Ensure proper configuration and customization according to user needs.
- Manage the lifecycle of desktop hardware from procurement to disposal.
Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service to internal users.
- Act as a point of escalation for complex IT issues.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Gather and analyze user feedback to improve IT services.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT processes and procedures.
- Generate regular reports on IT support metrics and performance.
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement based on data analysis.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in IT support
- Experienced in a smaller office environment and interacting with all employees
- Strong technical knowledge of desktop hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and common software applications.
- Experience with access management and security protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL) are a plus.
