Job Summary
We are seeking a well-rounded, hands-on IT Specialist to support our employees, infrastructure, and business applications. This mid-level role offers a wide variety of technical challenges-from supporting end users and troubleshooting day-to-day IT issues to managing hardware, assisting with network equipment, and maintaining business-critical systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, solid knowledge of Windows environments, and experience with Microsoft 365. You'll work closely with the IT Manager and team to help ensure smooth IT operations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
End User Support
- Serve as the first point of contact for technical support (in person, via Teams, or email).
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Configure and deploy laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and printers.
- Create and manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
Hardware & Software Administration
- Assist with installation and maintenance of company hardware and software.
- Track and manage IT inventory, including computers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Support procurement, setup, and configuration of employee devices.
Network & Systems Support
- Support basic networking tasks, such as VPN troubleshooting, switch resets, and cabling.
- Assist with wireless access point configuration and routine server check-ups.
- Participate in patching, updates, and routine maintenance tasks.
Security & Compliance
- Help enforce IT security policies, including password hygiene and MFA.
- Assist with endpoint protection tools such as Microsoft Defender and Intune.
- Support backup and recovery procedures under team guidance.
Business Systems & Applications
- Provide end-user support for key systems such as Microsoft 365, Dynamics GP, SAP, and HubSpot.
- Assist with reporting or business automation tasks where applicable.
- Create or run basic SQL queries to support internal users (training provided if needed).
Documentation & Training
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT processes, equipment, and support tickets.
- Help write simple user guides or onboarding resources for common tech tasks.
AV & Meeting Support
- Support meeting room technology, including projectors, webcams, and conferencing platforms.
Experience
- 3-6 years of experience in an IT support or IT generalist role.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Teams, and basic networking.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, printers, mobile device support, and remote troubleshooting tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service mindset.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues independently while knowing when to escalate.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting ERP, CRM, or WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Dynamics GP, HubSpot).
- Familiarity with SQL, scripting, PowerShell, or business automation tools.
- Previous work in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
- Exposure to cloud environments like Azure and/or device management platforms like Intune.
