Job Overview:
This is a hybrid role (3 days in the office/2 days remote).
Our client company is a fin-tech company that builds leading-edge technology used by traders. This well-respected and well-known company’s technology is being used by brokerage houses throughout the world. They are continuing to grow exponentially and are hiring for several new roles including this position on their Tools Engineering team. This is a Hybrid role whereby the selected candidate can work from home 2 days per week and work 3 days per week onsite at the company’s offices located either in New York City or Fairfield, CT. The Tools Engineering team has provided various world-class tools across the firm (Developers, Quality Engineers, and Traders) to help solve their productivity issues and provide easy solutions to build environments in runtime. The Tools Engineering team also provides an automated testing framework allowing end users (Devs/QA) to write functional integration test cases using simple scripts and mocking/stubbing various inputs and outputs to our client’s front office trading systems when required.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Develop solutions using Python
- Design and develop solutions based on the requirements of end users.
- Consistently deliver on timelines with the highest quality of work.
- Work on the Linux operating system
- Trouble shoot technical issues as they arise
Requirements:
- 7-10+ years of experience in the financial industry, specifically in front-office trading, is necessary.
- 10+ years of experience with Python programming language is necessary.
- Must have a deep understanding of FIX protocol.
- Strong domain knowledge of financial asset classes like stocks, options, market data concepts, FIX connectivity
- Subject Matter Expert in building efficient and scalable automation frameworks using Pytest
- Good understanding of the Linux Operating System.
- Good understanding of the GIT version control system.
- Docker experience
- Knowledge of JAVA and PERL
- Financial Backoffice & clearing experience is a plus but not required
