Job Summary:We are seeking a technically proficient and customer-focused Sales Engineer to join our team and drive sales growth for ARSEAL. This role bridges the gap between complex engineering solutions and client needs, with a focus on pipeline, compression, terminal, and processing facility projects. You will be responsible for expanding our client base, deepening existing relationships, and delivering high-value engineering solutions to the midstream oil and gas sector.
As part of ARSEAL, specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Structural disciplines, you will collaborate closely with project teams, discipline engineers, and leadership to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction. This role is also eligible for commission-based pay which will be shared in the recruitment process.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in the midstream oil and gas industry.
- Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers at pipeline companies, EPCs, and facility operators.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams to develop customized technical solutions and project scopes.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, technical proposals, RFQs, and bids tailored to client specifications.
- Provide both pre- and post-sales technical support and serve as the primary liaison between clients and project managers.
- Interpret customer needs, gather feedback, and communicate with engineering teams to support continuous improvement.
- Track and manage sales activities and pipeline in CRM software.
- Stay current with industry trends, safety and regulatory standards, and emerging technologies relevant to pipeline and facility design.
- Occasionally assist with producing project designs and managing small projects when needed.
Qualifications & RequirementsEducation:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related field) preferred. Business degrees with strong technical experience also considered.
Experience:- 5+ years of experience in sales engineering, business development, or technical sales within the oil and gas industry.
- Direct experience in the midstream sector (pipelines, terminals, compression) strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client accounts and deliver tailored engineering solutions.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Technical Skills & Knowledge:- Strong understanding of oil and gas midstream infrastructure and engineering processes.
- Proficiency with technical drawing review tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Familiarity with applicable safety and regulatory standards.
- Experience working with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel up to 30-50% as needed.
Preferred Qualifications- Existing client relationships within the midstream sector.
- Background in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with EPC firms or engineering consultancy services.
- Knowledge of pipeline/facility design and permitting processes.
