About the role
We’re a local multifamily owner operator looking for a reliable Property Assistant (~5-10 hrs/week). If you enjoy meeting people, keep tidy records, and can swing by the property on short notice, we’d love to hear from you.
Key responsibilities
• Show apartments to prospective residents and answer basic questions
• Screen applicants — collect paperwork, run background/credit checks, verify income
• Post and follow up on late rent notices (48 hour / 10 day per NC statute)
• Photograph units at move in / move out and log notes in simple spreadsheets
• Coordinate with maintenance during turnovers
What we’re looking for
• Friendly, professional communicator who enforces lease terms and fair housing rules with confidence
• Weekday availability plus one evening or Saturday block for showings
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
• One recent job referral/reference confirming your reliability
• Leasing or customer service experience is a plus, not a must
Compensation & terms
• $25 per hour (1099 independent contractor—you handle your own taxes)
• Roughly 5-10 hours per week; schedule flexes with showing requests
