POSITION: Production Technician – Carpentry & Cabinetry Focus
DESCRIPTION
Capsule is hiring a Production Technician to join our team, reporting directly to the Director of Manufacturing. The primary responsibility of this role is woodworking, cabinetry, and laminate fabrication The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in carpentry and cabinet construction, with the ability to support secondary roles in general assembly, drywall, and food service equipment installation.
This is a full-time onsite role, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. We’re looking for someone with a great work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive team-player attitude who can thrive in a dynamic production environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fabricate, assemble, and install custom cabinets and laminate surfaces using woodworking machinery and hand tools
Cut, shape, and finish wood and laminate components according to technical drawings and shop specifications
Perform edge banding, routing, and fitting of cabinet hardware
Ensure high-quality fit and finish of all cabinetry and millwork
Interpret and work from shop drawings and assembly diagrams
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
General framing, wall board, insulation, and panel installation
Aluminum powder coat and stainless-steel food service assemblies
Installation of food service and commercial/residential appliances
Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets
Apply joint compound, sand, and prep surfaces for finishing
Use of hand tools to assemble metal studs, trims, finishes, and cabinetry
Perform basic warehouse support: shipping/receiving, palletizing, and material handling
Conduct quality checks and final inspections on assemblies before shipment
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow all safety protocols and procedures
During downtime, this position may assist other departments as needed, including cleaning, organizing, deliveries, or assembly support.
REQUIREMENTS
2–5+ years of professional experience in carpentry, woodworking, or cabinet manufacturing
Skilled in reading and interpreting construction drawings or shop plans
Proficient in the use of woodworking tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
Positive attitude, reliability, and team-oriented mindset
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record for occasional travel (up to 15%)
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Laminate fabrication and cabinet installation
Plumbing, electrical, or tiling skills
Experience with drywall, framing, and general construction
